GORDON SECURITY ALARM RESPONSE PROCEDUREBurglary situations are highly dangerous. With Gordon Security’s 24-hour alarm response emergency services, you will no longer have to incur the great risk of responding to an alarm. Our security guards are trained to investigate your sounding alarm and initiate appropriate course of action to remedy the situation. We will provide a prompt response to the site of your alarm, inspect your building/home for misconduct, and contact the authorities if necessary. Our alarm response coverage can be on a short or long-term basis. WE PROVIDE ARMED AND UNARMED RESPONSE.CONTACT / DISPATCH:In the event of an alarm response a Gordon Security dispatcher will send a security officer to the site. The dispatcher will relay the alarm type to the officer, so that he or she may focus his or her investigation towards this area when they arrive on site. The guard is to give an estimate of the travel time to the dispatcher. The dispatcher will record all information on an Alarm Response log.INSPECTION OF SITE:Once the responding guard has been confirmed on site, they will conduct a full inspection focusing on the area of the reported alarm if applicable. The guard is to report all findings to the dispatcher immediately. If possible, the guard will remain on the line while conducting site inspection.SIGNS OF BREAK IN OR VANDALISM:If at any point in the responding guard observes signs of break- in or vandalism, they are to contact the local police department immediately. The guard will write an incident report, and submit the report to Gordon Security.CONDUCT A THOROUGH WALK THROUGH:If the responding guard has conducted a thorough walkthrough of the post without finding any kind of damage to property or possible break- in, the guard is to remain on stand by while the alarm monitoring company is contacted to reset the alarm. Once the monitoring company confirms a positive reset of the alarm, the site is secure and the guard can be released from the post.
